Montenegro: Western Balkans Parliamentary Forum on small arms

On 8 November, Members of Parliament from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia met at the 11th Western Balkans Parliamentary Forum on small arms in Montenegro. Organised by the Parliament of Montenegro and SEESAC, the event focused on legal frameworks and procedures relating to the arms trade, including the process of issuing licences and the implementation of international instruments to regulate the arms trade. The meeting concluded with the statement “Parliaments have the duty and obligation to strengthen their oversight of arms transfers”. More
