New Zealand: Increased controls on dangerous air rifles

In New Zealand, police welcome a change in the law which means people must have a license to own pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifles. Inspector Joe Green, the National Coordinator for Firearms Control, said these rifles are "capable of causing serious injury or death” and the law change means that the police will now have better control over access to them.
