US: IANSA members mark anniversary of 2007 Virginia Tech shooting

On 16 April, we commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Virginia Tech shooting, when 32 people were murdered on the campus of the university in Blacksburg, Virginia (US) by a student with two semi-automatic handguns. He had obtained the guns and ammunition legally, despite having a history of mental instability. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence is marking the day by bringing 32 survivors of gun violence to tell their stories in Congress, and, "to hold [their] elected leaders accountable for policies that led to the worst mass shooting in American history and that keep the death toll rising daily".
