Puerto Rico: Campaigners urge boycott of toy gun presents this Christmas

In Puerto Rico, campaigners for peace and security are encouraging people to promote community safety by not buying toy guns and violent computer games as Christmas presents this year. In a press release, Proyecto Caribeño de Justicia y Paz said, “The rising tide of violence in our country requires that all citizens do their part to avoid further proliferation of guns and death… Guns kill and war is not a game, our role as adults is to make sure toys and play promote positive values and skills… We must break the cycle of gun violence”.
