Man who shot, killed 6 in Netherlands had licence for 5 guns

The 24 year old man who shot and killed six people and then himself at a shopping centre in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands on 9 April, was the licenced owner of 5 guns, according to media reports. He used one handgun in the shooting, in addition to a semi-automatic weapon, which are illegal in the Netherlands. The type of semi-automatic weapon he used can fire 25 bullets in five seconds. Police announced that over a hundred rounds were shot within a few minutes.
