Trinidad & Tobago: Gangs, Guns and Governance

A report into gang violence in Trinidad and Tobago published by the Small Arms Survey has noted a 1000-per cent increase in gun-related homicide over the last decade. The report, No Other Life – Gangs, Guns and Governance in Trinidad and Tobago, suggests that poor urban areas of Trinidad have become “magnets of lawlessness” with rival drug gangs vying for control.
