India: Seized arms to be audited

India’s home ministry is to order annual audits for confiscated and obsolete weapons. The change is part of an overhaul of India’s firearm policy, designed to cut down on misuse of guns, and includes the creation of a national database of arms licenses to replace the sometimes chaotic state licensing systems.
