The police in Norway are calling for stronger gun control after a man shot and killed 69 people at a youth camp on Utøya on 22 July. It is the largest mass shooting ever committed by a civilian. Most victims were between 13 and 18 years old.

Hardy Schober of the Foundation for the Prevention of Violence in Schools helped facilitate the performing of the play “Bang bang – you are dead” in a grammar school in Fellbach, Germany on 26 March.

Last week in Germany, Joerg Kretschmer, the father of a teenager who shot dead 15 people and then himself on 11 March 2009 at Albertville Secondary School in Winnenden, went on trial.

185,000 people signed a petition to ban large-caliber handguns in Germany.

On 11 March we commemorate the first anniversary of the mass shooting at Albertville Secondary School.
